Brazilian Butt Lift is an outpatient procedure. The BBL surgery begins with the fat transfer, where Dr. Namnoum uses liposuction to remove excess fat from a patient’s donor areas such as the thighs, back, or abdomen.
The harvested fat is purified before the removed fat cells are carefully re-injected in layers into the buttocks in order to restore volume.2 Providing a softer, more natural appearance, Dr. Namnoum is able to skillfully sculpt the injected fat to help his patients achieve a more contoured and aesthetic appearance. Brazilian Butt Lifts are commonly performed under general anesthesia.
Brazilian Butt Lift Recovery
Immediately following your Brazilian Butt Lift procedure, you will be dressed in a compression garment that you will wear for the duration of your recovery. You should expect to experience some swelling and bruising in the harvest and injection sites. Most patients find that they are able to walk a few days after their procedure. Fluid drainage from the incision points is normal and will cease on its own after a few days.3 You can plan to return to your normal approximately six weeks following surgery.
