Buttock Augmentation (Brazilian Butt Lift)
Buttock augmentation is a procedure to enhance the volume, shape, projection, and aesthetic appearance of the buttock. In the United States, this is usually done through a combination of liposuction and removal of fat from unwanted areas, which is then transferred to the buttock for enhancement.
The harvested fat is instilled using tiny hidden incisions in the soft tissues of the buttock. It may be placed in ways to create a particular shape or effect. Removing fat from the areas directly around the buttock such as the love handles, upper back and outer thighs by itself enhances the appearance of the buttock. After the fat is transferred to the buttock it will engraft, leading to a long lasting improvement in shape and volume.
Buttock augmentation with fat grafting may performed alone or in combination with other procedures such as breast augmentation or abdominoplasty.
